Health, safety and the environment is of vital importance to SAS and is
central to our ethos. We employ safety throughout each step of our processes.
SAS has a focus on safety that is employed through automation of mechanical
processes, the use of advanced ME Technology, minimal generation of waste
and responsible treatment and disposal of residues.
Automation of the Mechanical ME Delivery Systems:
Aside from the cleaning
benefits that are a result of the efficency of the chemistry and the automation
of the SAS cleaning technology, the minimisation of human activity provides
a key safety advantage. In most cases human activity is minimised and entry
into confined and hazardous areas is strictly limited.
MicroEmulsion (ME) technology:
By utilising the most advanced chemistry
and ME technology, SAS is able to carry out cleaning operations with water
based products that carry a neutral pH. Further, these surfactant based
products used in conjunction with clarifying systems, allows for the recycling
and treatment of the wash water used, thereby drastically reducing the
water consumed, contaminated and disposed of in cleaning processes.
Minimal Generation of Waste:
Despite being water based and recyclable,
these ME surfactant products are the most powerful and the most efficient
on the market and are able to perform with amazing effectiveness. This
results in less waste product requiring disposal, reduced disposal costs
and less harm to the environment.
Proper Disposal of Waste Streams:
The resulting solids and liquid phases
that are produced from cleaning operations are properly handled, treated
and containerised. Alternatively, following appropriate treatment, these
phases may be disposed of on site according to local legislation guidelines.
Again, safety is of utmost importance to SAS. We understand that anything
additional that we can do in terms of safety is an investment - an investment
that we, our customers and the environment will all benefit from in the long
run.
