Monday, August 15, 2011 at 8:07AM Today the 15 August 2011 is a special day here at SAS. We are celebrating our 11th birthday.
When we started the company in August 2000 we had some good ideas on how to do things differently in oil industry waste management. It took another 3 years to get the SAS microemulsion technology market ready and show its full potential to the first customers in Aberdeen.
Eleven years later SAS now supplies its products for pit cleaning, wellbore cleanup, OSV cleaning; slop treatment, cuttings cleaning, refinery waste treatment, and tank cleaning and filtercake removal around the world. We have offices and production facilities in Grangemouth, UK and Houston, Texas and agents in a number of worldwide locations.
We really would like to take this opportunity to say a heartfelt thank you to our customers who have put their trust in us and our products to deliver the results they need, every time and on time. Some of you have been with us since the very early days and some of you have only recently joined the SAS family. We hope that those of you not yet using the SAS products will soon give us an opportunity to show what we can do.
We also want to thank some our suppliers for their support throughout the years. Some of you worked with us several years before we launched our first products and we remain thankful for that period of support and patience.

If you are in Canada and have an interest in unconventional oil and the environment you are in luck. Over the next few days taking place is the Unconventional Oils & the Environment conference in Calgary, AB. Find out more at the conference website by clicking here.
A bit further north in Alberta in Fort McMurray will be the annual Oil Sands Trade Show & Conference in September. On the 13 & 14 of September all those with an interest in the oil sands should make their way to the far north. Moving on to slightly more warmer areas of the world the Thailand Oil & Gas Trade Show will take place from 8 - 10 September 2011. You can read all about it and register at their website.
Just north of Houston, Texas in the Woodlands will be the 4th Annual Exploration & production technology Summitt 2011. On the 27 & 28 September 2011 a range of presentations & workshops on the use of innovative technologies in the oil industry presented by some of the most forward thinking industry people. On the other side of the planet (more or less) is the 2011 Asia Pacific Oil & Gas Exhibition and Conference in Jakarta, Indonesia (20 - 22 September). One of the larger events in the Asia Pacific region and a key event in the annual diary. You can read more about this event on the website.
Finally, come and see the SAS team at Lagcoe in louisiana. This event has been around for over 50 years and provides an opportunity for all companies and people in the Gulf Coast to network and see what is going on in the industry.
