Use of the SAS116SC allows for a highly fluid slurry with up to 80% solids that has a low sag value.

This solution allows for better transportation of drilling waste, faster injection and allows for the injection process to keep up with the rate of drilling.

Using this product protects the cuttings against hydration and is a great solution for shale based cuttings. Contact us for more information or request a free sample to see for yourself.

Synopsis

As the search for new resources means that we are forced to work in domains that are increasingly complicated, producing accurate images of our prospects and fields is becoming more and more important for Exploration & Production. The industry has made dramatic progress in the last 10 years due to a combination of better data acquisition, advanced processing algorithms and enormous computer power. These improvements allow us to correctly model much more difficult geological settings and consequently we can image structures that were previously invisible. We demonstrate this evolution and ask what the future holds as the technology continues to improve.

Speaker

Paul Sexton has been head of the Seismic Imaging team within Total since 2008, responsible for Total’s operational imaging work as well as a very active Research & Development team. Paul joined Total E&P UK in 1997, first as a researcher before moving to Total’s Geophysical Operations team in Pau, France. After setting up a new imaging team in 2001, Paul moved-on to work in reservoir monitoring and in 2005 moved to Nigeria to work as an Explorationist in the Deep Offshore. Paul has a first class honours degree in Physics and a PhD in Geophysics, both from Durham University.

Over the last 40 years, the hostile waters of the North Sea have provided a rich source of oil and gas as well as an opportunity for the UK energy industry to develop first-class products, services, and expertise. UK companies now lead the world in many areas of finding, developing, and extracting oil and gas and managing installations. They also lead in research and development efforts, with 9.9% of all energy industry expenditure going directly to R&D projects. Because of their accomplishments, British energy-related exports have increased to more than USD 30 billion per annum."

The Middle East Downstream week - Abu Dhabi

From the 25 - 28 March the 13th Downstream week event will take place in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
